Penumbra Candles needed an identity that matched the atmosphere their product creates. The typography was chosen to suggest the movement of smoke while giving the brand a distinct personality. The color palette reinforces the sophisticated, understated tone the brand is built around. The overall system is minimal and dark, designed to feel like an extension of the product rather than a label placed on top of it.
